Thank you for your interest in nominating someone for a Namesake role with Aggie Transition Camps!
Every year, we search for Texas A&M Faculty, Staff, Alumni and Friends of the Aggie Network that exemplify the Aggie Spirit by upholding the core values, demonstrate the meaning of being part of the Aggie Family, and support Texas A&M University Community, (specifically the transfer student community at Texas A&M). Aggie Transition Camps, the Registered Student Organization tasked with putting on Howdy Camp and T-Camp every year, would like to know about those people and potentially offer them one of these honorary roles for T-Camp this summer!
In order for someone to be eligible for Namesake with Aggie Transition Camps, please review the following eligibility requirements:
- Nominees must have had a positive impact on Texas A&M University, Aggie Transition Camps, and/or the transfer student community. (Examples may include, but are not limited to, service to the institution, faculty or staff work with students, volunteering to better service the members of the Texas A&M/ATC/Transfer Student community, etc.)
- Nominees must have been a Former Student for a minimum of 3 years, and must NOT have been a Namesake within the past 10 years (2015). A full list can be found on the ATC website.
- Nominees must be an individual or couple.
- Nominees must pass a Criminal Background Check conducted by Texas A&M University Human Resources immediately following the selections process. If you want more information on Background Checks, please review Texas A&M's Standard Administrative Procedure here (https://rules-saps.tamu.edu/PDFs/33.99.14.M1.01.pdf).
- If the Nominee is deceased, you will be required to specify who the physical embodiment of the Nominee is and answer the questions for both the deceased Nominee and the person(s) representing the deceased nominee. You may only nominate an individual or couple to represent a posthumous Nominee.
Multiple nominations may be submitted by unique individuals (aka the same person may not submit more than 1 nomination for the same individual). If multiple nominations are submitted for an individual or couple, only the first five (5) nominations will be considered and reviewed. Multiple submissions nominating the same person or couple will be read collectively and given one (1) overall score.
Namesake Nomination for T-Camp 2025 will be accepted now through Tuesday, February 11th at 11:59pm. Please direct any questions to ATC Advisor, Dalton Jones '18, via email at [email protected].
Thanks & Gig’em!
